Of course there is a lot of work to do still, but it is really stuff that is not that big of a deal. The shutters need to be replaced, someone must have tried to make their own and they just do not match. The yard is a mess too, there is not any grass and it needs to be leveled too. I am not going to worry about that. I had to fix the wiring first. This is an old house. It was built in early part of the 1970’s and I wonder if they paid off the electrical inspector back then. I only bought the place because I knew that I could do that myself. If I had to pay someone else to do it, then the price I paid would have been too much. All of the wiring is aluminum too, so a lot of it has crystallized near the lights and such. Any place that it gets hot it is likely to do that. I did all of that before I moved in.
Then I stored all of my stuff I could in the extra bedroom and I started to renovate both of the bathrooms. Once I had that done I fixed up the main bedroom and moved in there. It was a long process. After that I did something of a renovation in the kitchen. I did not think that it was so bad though. I had a place to stay and it took up all of my time so that I did not have any time to think about Jenny. She is gone of course, so there is not any point in being obsessed any way. I think I might have a new girlfriend if I work it right, but she is not showing … READ MORE ...

Just one shade of pink or bright red will also create a
strong focal point. Group plants in an identical shade and place them in a

In recent years, energy efficiency has become a hot topic,
and more and more people are looking for ways to make their homes as efficient
as possible. But did you realize that one little change of a lightbulb can
dramatically impact your house’s energy efficiency and reduce your overall
energy costs? That’s because Americans spend up to 25% of their home
electricity budgets on lighting. By switching to CFL lightbulbs, or better yet
LEDs, you can save a bundle!
Why Install LED Lights?
There are basically only two reasons to install LEDs for
your lighting needs, but they can be powerful motivators. These reasons are
long life and energy savings. As a much more energy-efficient lighting source,
LEDs can help keep your electricity costs low while still keeping the lights
Here’s how the three main types of lightbulbs break down:
Incandescent Bulbs: Popularized by Thomas Edison, this type
of lightbulb is what most people think of when the term “lightbulb”
is mentioned, and most older lamps are designed to utilize this technology.
However, because approximately 98% of the power consumed by an incandescent
bulb is wasted as heat rather than light, these lights are extremely
inefficient. Many countries have completely phased them out, and in the United
States, federal regulations will require incandescent bulbs to be 30% more
efficient by 2014. A typical incandescent bulb can last around seven months.
Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFLs): According to the
federal Energy Star program, CFLs last up to 10 times longer than a typical
incandescent lightbulb and use around 75% less energy (although they still emit
80% of the power consumed as heat rather than light). Popular because they are
more efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs, CFLs do have the drawback
of being around four times more expensive than a … READ MORE ...
